I am not very impressed at being turned out in this weather. There is no grass - I'm up to my hocks in mud and it keeps raining, or worse - sleeting. I tried to put on my most pathetic look but it didn't work. Sometimes I think my owner just doesn't care. . . . . . . . . oh well.

  1. Sorry about your weather. Maybe if you rolled in the muck and got terribly dirty she would keep you in.
I am glad to see your owner doesn't torture you by making you wear a tarp...I hate wearing a tarp.

  2. Whoa Dude! I just checked out your uber heavy coat and gotta tell you, I AM jealous. My mom thinks it isn't good for horses to wear blankets and will only use one if it is wet and freezing. Guess she is sorta right, my coat does a good job keeping my skin dry and warm. If I had a coat like yours I could invite some mares to snuggle closer . . . oh well. Hope you stay warm,

  6. Hello! Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm especially thrilled that you are from Scotland - which is where my ancestors are from (my maiden name is Napier). Love your horse photos!

  7. I always feel so bad for my guys when they're out in the cold and rain. Good thing they're dressed for it. Mine stand at the fence every evening and stare at the house.... "C'mon, where's dinner?"
