I took one of my pupils to meet Major today. He is on the autistic spectrum and was fascinated by the softness of Major's muzzle. Major was very gentle and patient -the only lapse from grace was when he pulled him over to a verge to eat grass!
Horse therapy is great. My son (mushboy) has asperer's and Salty has been his therapy horse, the reason he can now talk to people other that me and his dad. Mushboy is now thinking about becoming a vet. Animals sure work wonders. Major, Salty says to keep up the good work!
I just clicked to your blog via Cactus Jack Splash. I love horses and ponies alike..and we both have equines that muse. How fun! Major is adorable. I'm unfamiliar with Highland ponies and looking forward to reading more. I'll follow along.
