A few evenings ago I was busy picking round the trees in the woods above the stables when I heard my owner calling my name from further down the hill.  I knew she'd keep searching till she found me so I didn't bother going down to meet her.  Eventually I saw her come in view.  She looked quite puffed as it was a warm day and it is a steep climb!  However, instead of coming over, she walked straight past.  I realised she hadn't seen me in the trees.
So I gave her one of my little whickers of greeting that I know she loves because I've heard her telling people how she likes it when I talk to her.  She turned round immediately and produced a nice juicy pear from her pocket.  Fellow equines, isn't it great they way we can wrap these owners round our hooves so easily!

  3. I know how your human feels Major, we were out in a lovely wooded area geocaching this morning, away for 3 hours. boy did we do some climbing! Up banks down banks doing everything the hard way! Never mind we found 4 and spotted a couple of riders and their horses but they were away by the time we stumbled and slid back to the pathway, but we knew the horses had been along that way as they had left deposits lol x

    1. Ann, I hope don't hide when you see horses coming. My owner fell off my back once because I jumped at some people who were blackberry picking in the bushes and then decided to stand up as I walked past!
