11.4.11

It was arranged that we would ride over to the place where my best pal, Dylan now lives.  He was to meet us half way and escort us back to his home.  I heard him coming before I saw him and I shouted the loudest greeting I could and he called back.  It was SO good to see him again.

However, when we got to his home, he didn't want anything to do with me and instead he rushed back to his new horse pals that he has made there.  They had been shut into a paddock in case they didn't like me.  He didn't even want me to get near them and warned me off with threatening faces.  I can't believe he would treat me like this.  We used to be best pals - now he seems to have found others he prefers. . . . . . . Felt a little sad when I got home this evening.  It had been a long ride, there and back too  :(

  2. Aw, poor Major. I hope you might make some other friends yourself, then you can swank past Dylan's place with them, showing them off.

  3. Aw Major, it`s hard when that happens. Dudley feels the same having been deposed of by his longtime field mate, Molly, in favour of another mare. It hurts but it does get better. I`ll tell Duds when I see him tonight and he`ll probably send you a big whinny in companionable commiseration. Listen out for it!
