This is Moonshine (fondly known as Moo). She was a Highland Pony belonging to my friend, Clare and she died on Friday, probably of a heart attack. In the last few years, although she was retired, Moo would not stay behind when Clare rode out on her other ponies so Moo always went along too - loose - along the forest tracks. Moo was over 40 years old, a wonderful old girl who will be missed by all who were fortunate to have known her. RIP Moonshine xxx
Sorry for the loss of Moo. Nice she lived so long and was able to go out to follow along on rides.
ReplyDeleteNice post...Freedom would have loved to meet her.
May Moonshine always run free. What a testimony to what is possible with love and fine care!
ReplyDeleteThat Moony lived so long and so happily is testimony to Claire`s love and attention and general devotion. May she forever be free to roam the Glens and the Highlands of her youth and to cavort with the friends she left behind.
ReplyDeleteOver 40 years?
ReplyDeleteImpressing age, and not the least that she was so eager to follow suit even up in her years!
It's so sad when we lose one of our good friends. Sounds like Moo had a good and loving home and I'm sure she enjoyed her life. I know she will be missed and remembered with fondness and love. Sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteSo sad about Moo, what a grand pony she must have been. Sounds like she really loved to be out and about and didn't want to be left out, even in her advanced years!
ReplyDeleteShe surly has a special place in horse heaven!
